Real estate company Wood Partners is set to break ground at a $45m multi-family community on a 2.79-acre site in downtown Columbia, Maryland, US.
Designed by JDavis Architects, the 230-unit mixed-use project Alta Wilde Lake is said to be a key component of the redevelopment at Wilde Lake Village Center, which has about 60,000ft² of retail and 30,000ft² of office space.
Apartments will be available for lease from 2016.
Wood Partners Mid-Atlantic Region director Scott Zimmerly said: "With few projects slated for delivery in this market over the next 36 months, we anticipate that occupancy will tighten and rents will likely continue to increase in 2015."
Alta Wilde Lake will be located close to the mall in Columbia, Howard County Community College, Howard County General Hospital, schools and recreational facilities. The complex will include two, five-storey apartment buildings linked by a three-level sky bridge over Lynx Lane.
Amenities offered to the community include a clubhouse with a sports lounge, café, business centre and conference room and a pet spa.
