body shop

Walker’s Automotive has collaborated with Studio Four Design for the construction of a new auto body shop in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The layout of the proposed building has been designed by taking into account the interests of customers and insurance companies.

Spread over an area of around 50,000ft², the new building has sleek white walls and polished concrete floors, in addition to having an advanced lighting system.

Walker’s Automotive collision repair founder and CEO Paul Walker said: "When we decided to start this project, we knew we wanted a partner to help bring our life-long vision into a reality.

"Studio Four Design came to us highly recommended. Their architects and designers have a great reputation throughout the industry and their work impressed us.

"But it was their commitment to our vision and communicating every detail with us that made the relationship so fruitful."

Studio Four Design, along with Merit Construction, has added large windows that will bring natural light into the building.

Studio Four Design business development director Stacy Cox said: "Paul understands the importance of building design and how it affects his customers.

"We worked truly as partners to bring to life the experience Paul envisioned with intuitive design features."

"When we decided to start this project, we knew we wanted a partner to help bring our life-long vision into a reality."

The work space in the building has also been expanded to better serve the mechanics.

"The clean and efficient design has increased our number of insurance referrals. Even our mechanics comment on how easy it is to manoeuver the tools now and how inviting the whole shop feels," Walker added.

Walker’s Automotive is planning to work with Studio Four Design on another collision repair location in the Knoxville area, which is scheduled to be opened in 2017.

Studio Four Design creates brand identities for startups and entrepreneurs, and designs office buildings, educational facilities, athletic venues, retail spaces, medical centres, churches, banks, museums, multi-family housing and single-family residences.
