United Engineering Construction (UNEC) in Dubai has been awarded a contract to build the $136m, 171-villa Dreamz by Danube residential project.
The project will offer three and four-bed townhouses in the Al Furjan community, which will range from 2,500ft² to 3,000ft² in size.
Dreamz by Danube is said to form part of the Al Furjan development located near Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates. The project is expected to break ground this month.
The Nakheel-owned residential development lies between Sheikh Zayed Road and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, adjacent to Discovery Gardens; it has 4,000 houses, apartments, hotels and commercial and mixed-use plots with an area of 5.6 million m².
Permits to commence work are yet to be received and completion is expected to take 18 months.
Planned development works include building 171 luxury duplex townhouses over an area of 65,000m². Around 40% of the project will comprise open spaces with infrastructure facilities.

UNEC has worked on previous residential spaces, as well as industrial buildings, showrooms, hotels and low-cost villas.
