Minnesota United Football Club (FC) has been selected as the construction manager for the proposed $120m stadium development in St. Paul, US.

The stadium is expected to have a seating capacity for 20,000 people, and its construction works are scheduled to start next year.

The new stadium is planned to be set up between Minneapolis and St. Paul, at the intersection of Snelling and University avenues, in the Midway area of St. Paul.

Populous was responsible for the designs of the stadium, which will be supported with multiple transit options including the Metro Green Line and Interstate 94.

Mortenson has also partnered with Populous for multiple sports facility projects over the years, including Target Field, TCF Bank Stadium, and Xcel Energy Centre.

At present, the firm has other sport projects under stages of construction in its portfolio as well, including the SunTrust Park and US Mortenson, and has also recently completed renovation works for Amalie Arena.
