Morgan Sindall has secured a £12.3m second phase contract to upgrade Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Lancashire, UK.
Under the contract, the firm will build two new grandstands with a seating capacity of more than 7,000, as well as a four-storey player and media centre.
The redevelopment of Old Trafford will also include refurbishing the pavilion to expand the seating capacity to 15,000, which can be raised to 25,000 with temporary seating.
The second phase contract is part of the club’s £43m investment in facilities, including an extension to its indoor cricket school and public areas and the construction of a supermarket nearby.
Work on the first phase is expected to be complete in summer 2012.
