Real-estate developer KDC is planning to build an office building near Dallas Love Field Airport, Texas, US.
The office building will be constructed as part of a new $200m mixed-use project, known as West Love, which will add apartments and two hotels as well as retail outlets and restaurants in the area.
To be located at Dallas’ 2345 W. Mockingbird Lane between Maple Avenue and Forest Park Road, KDC will construct 150,000ft² office building on 37-acre land.
The building will feature structured parking.
KDC’s building has been designed by BOKA Powell architects.
The new office project will be situated adjacent two Starwood hotels, 370 luxury apartment homes and 65,000ft² of retail space.
According to a report of Dallas Business Journal, the West Love site will add 750 apartments in its next phase.
KDC senior vice president Bill Guthrey was quoted by Dallas Morning News as saying: "With Love Field and its resurgence … and we all know the medical district is booming … this is ripe for a new development."
He also added: "There hasn’t been anything built over there in at least 25 years.
"This could be a good answer to people who are now looking for office space in Uptown and in North Dallas."
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, in partnership with Atlanta Hotels Group and Civitas Capital Group, has started the construction of the 224-room, dual-branded Aloft and Element hotel, with completion scheduled in December this year.
Los Angeles-based Highridge Partners and its partners are developing the 37 acre West Love development project, which is scheduled to be completed by next year.
Highridge partner Jorge Ramirez was quoted by Dallas Morning News as saying: "The office building will just enhance the environment we are creating."
