Interxion Holding, a provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, has revealed a plan to build its sixth data centre on its campus in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The company is planning to invest €60m to purchase the site and spend between €140m and €160m on the new facility in 2011.

The new 4,000m2 data centre will provide 10MW of power.
It will incorporate environmentally friendly design elements, including aquifer thermal energy storage infrastructure and an efficient power topology to reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
The centre is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2012.
