Gerner, Kronick + Valcarcel Architects (GKV) has completed the renovation of the headquarters of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia at 599 Lexington Avenue in New York, US.
The renovated 22,000ft2 facility includes an elevator lobby, reception, boardroom, dining room, executive and core restrooms as well as the trading floor.
The revamped elevator lobby features acid-etched glass and silk-screened logos, while the reception area features a large video wall.
The boardroom of the revamped office has been equipped with advanced audiovisual equipment to facilitate teleconferencing and the dining room has a catering pantry which can host various events and meetings.
Under the renovation project the office front has been applied with web-laser-cut vinyl designs, making it a transparent façade which allows natural light and ensures privacy.
The remodelled facility features an open pantry, named HUB, at the centre of the building that facilitates island seating arrangements.
In addition, the building now features an elevated trading floor and planters beneath the windows.
The renovation project started in September 2010 and was carried out in phases.
