Cereal Partners Worldwide’s innovation centre in Orbe, Switzerland, has secured LEED Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council.
The 110,000ft2 global innovation centre, operational from February 2011, hosts Cereal Partners Worldwide’s R&D operations.

The centre allows on-site collection of more than 50,000gal of rainwater annually, supplying 100% of the water used for irrigation and sanitary installations.
The building features extensive use of natural light to provide outside views for employees, as well as ventilation that exceeds fresh air requirements.
The facility incorporates energy-saving elements that drive down energy consumption by more than 30%, including backup steam heating generated from coffee ground waste, and the use of alpine snow melt for cooling.
