Constructive Ventures and Aspen Heights are developing a new 58-storey condo tower in Austin, US.
Designed by Rhode:Partners, the 950,000ft² project known as The Independent will rise 685ft-high to become the tallest residential building west of the Mississippi River.
Constructive Ventures principal Perry Lorenz said: "Residents at every age and stage of life can comfortably call this tower home, a real first for Austin, and that’s because of all the building’s distinct attributes.
"In addition to our own on-site amenities, the site’s location is at the nexus of some of Austin’s greatest amenities."
To be located at the north-east corner of West 3rd Street and West Avenue, the proposed project will offer views of Lady Bird Lake, as well as immediate access to downtown’s trail network, new library and myriad of dining and shopping options.
The Independent will feature 370 condo residences and each unit will range from 675 to 3,485ft² with floorplans for one to three-bedroom units.
Aspen Heights founder and CEO Greg Henry said: "We intend to build a tower that’s truly reflective, in its name, architecture, finishes, views, location and amenities, of Austin.
"A building of this prominence should be mindful of not only a diverse set of future residents, but the entire community as well."
Encompassing two full floors, building amenities will extend over 20,000ft² and would include a children’s activity room / playground, dog park, pool, fitness centre, yoga and barre studio.
Amenities also include club rooms, sky lounges, spa area with steam showers and a massage room, guest suites, theatre, business centre with conference rooms.
