Australian architecture firm CK Designworks has designed an industrial and commercial building with advanced cooling technology in Nanjing, China.
The 24-storey building features heat recovery from industrial processes, natural ventilation and a solar-assisted heating and cooling system utilising treated wastewater fed into a feature lake.
The project has a building footprint of 18,400m2 and a gross floor area of 111,700m2, meaning a reduced surface footprint, allowing the creation of landscaping areas around the building.
The ground floor of the project includes a showroom, conference rooms, staff amenities and a restaurant, and the top twelve floors are office floors for administration and research purposes.
The building is part of a 20km2 master plan in Nanjing, which is scheduled for completion in 2024, according to racplus.com.
