Brookfield Multiplex has secured a A$290m ($209m) contract to build Duo, the fifth stage of the $2bn Central Park precinct.
Frasers Property and Sekisui House are developing the mixed residential, commercial, and hotel development, which will be on the corner of Broadway and Abercrombie Streets in Chippendale.
Designed by Foster and partners, Duo is made up of two 18-storey towers, which sit on a combined five-level basement car park.
The residential area will be made of 313 apartments, with the majority located in the eastern tower. Residents will be offered club facilities including an indoor pool, jacuzzi, cardio room, yoga, and recreation room.
Other amenities are a rooftop terrace and BBQ, as well as a residents’ lounge and dining room.
The adjoining western tower will have a 297-room hotel and 5,500m² of commercial space. A childcare centre with a capacity to accommodate up to 90 children and the refurbished Australian Hotel and adjoining terraces will also form part of this tower.
