Construction firm ISG has been awarded a £10m fit-out contract by Brit Insurance for designing its UK headquarters at the Leadenhall Building in London.

ISG will be responsible for a high-specification Category B fit-out across five floors of the new office development, which spans a 66,000ft² area.

The firm will mainly develop open plan accommodation on levels 16 to 18, to include meeting spaces, break out areas and installation of a feature staircase between the three floors.

ISG will create a formal client meeting space over levels 39 and 40, linking the floors by a helical staircase, and will add a new reception area.

ISG UK fit-out unit managing director Matt Blowers said: "With over 90% of the Leadenhall building now let, our expertise delivering live environment, multi-level projects in high-profile office developments will prove essential to a successful outcome.

"Our appointment at an early stage in the scheme, through a two-stage tender process, has proved highly beneficial in navigating the project’s complex logistical challenges, enabling the development of innovative solutions to deliver this key win for ISG."

In August, ISG secured a £59m contract from investment group Blackstone for refurbishing an office building in London’s Old Bailey, UK.
