Riyadh Park

Asala Holdings has selected Benoy as the chief design architect for a new luxury retail and leisure development in Riyadh, which is being built at a cost of SAR500m ($133m).

Riyadh Park will incorporate the external Retail boulevard and is set to become one of the high-end shopping and entertainment destinations in Saudi capital.

Featuring a luxury fashion zone showcasing international and local retail brands, Riyadh Park will also have an entertainment and leisure component.

The park will have a host of cafés and ’boutique’ restaurants and terraces with outdoor food and beverage kiosks, VIP valet services and parking capacity for more than 2,000 cars.

Benoy MENA director and head Paul Priest said: "We are looking forward to working closely with our client, Asala Holdings, to deliver a state-of-the-art yet ultimately sustainable development, which will offer a compelling combination of retail and leisure.

"We believe that KSA represents a market with the vision to realise world-class architecture within its cities and as such is an exciting and inspiring environment for Benoy."

"We strive to upgrade the shopping experience through our commitment to our tenants to own and efficiently operate smartly designed shopping properties which deliver superior services to shoppers in order to maximise footfall."

The mall is expected to open its doors by the end of 2016.

Benoy has also been appointed to commence work on other projects such as Panorama Mall, also in Riyadh.
