Balfour Beatty Construction has been selected by Anthracite Realty Partners and Bennett Benner Partners to provide services including preconstruction and construction for a 25-storey tower in downtown Fort Worth, US.

For the new 323,415ft² Class-AA commercial office mixed-use tower, which will be known as 640 Taylor, Balfour Beatty will provide core, shell and interior finish-out services.

The tower will have retail shops in the ground floor, a sky lobby and conference centre in the 12th floor, and an eatery featuring a 3,400ft² dining deck overlooking Sundance Square and Burnett Park. A 3,200ft² roof garden will be located next to the eatery.

640 Taylor is expected to be completed in December 2017.

Claimed to be the seventh tallest building in Fort Worth, the new high-rise will have 900 parking spaces.

Balfour Beatty has delivered more than 46 million square feet of Class A commercial office projects, totalling more than $3bn in Texas.
