Al Rostamani Pegel (ARP) has secured a contract from developer Deyaar Development for the construction of its twin tower complex, ‘The Atria’ in the Business Bay area of Dubai.
As part of the contract, ARP will mobilise the principal contractor after completion of enabling works. All main activities on the project are slated for completion by the first half of 2017.
Deyaar Development CEO Saeed Al Qatami said: "We have chosen Al Rostamani Pegel from a list of leading contractors in the UAE based on our trust in its highly qualified team and the value the team can add to our overall customer experience.
"The move reiterates our commitment towards our shareholders and customers to safeguard their interests that remain at the core of our business strategy."
Spread over an area of 1.25 million ft², the mixed-use complex Atria will feature eco-friendly technologies such as low energy consumption LED lighting, energy-efficient electrical and plant control systems, and an air-conditioning system that is energy-efficient.
Atria is Deyaar’s first project in the hospitality sector, and will include serviced apartments and residential units.
The facility’s irrigation system will make use of condensate water from the air-conditioning equipment, while other advanced technologies will be integrated into the auto fire detection for protection.
Protection systems will be interconnected to the Dubai Civil Defence’s direct alarm system.
UK-based interior designers, yoo Studio, conceptualised the interior design of the mixed-use project.
Atria will house studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and three-bedroom duplex units across a 30-floor complex. The hotel apartment tower will also offer a five-star spa, gym, infinity pool on the 25th floor and several restaurants.
