The project will start in May and is anticipated to be finished during autumn 2024.

The student housing scheme is centrally situated along the Akerselva river in district Grünerløkka in Oslo.

The housing will feature 209 student accommodations spread across seven floors, with shared functions and commercial spaces located on the ground floor.

The total area of this project is approximately 9,100m2.

NCC is also responsible for building a publicly accessible square in relation to the project besides a green area and a walking path along the Akerselva.

NCC Building Nordics head Catarina Molén-Runnäs said, “Together with SiO and other partners, we have worked out a thorough and effective plan for the implementation of this project. We look forward to starting to build this sustainable and future-proof student housing.”

The project will feature an environmental profile with emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly materials and solutions.

NCC claimed that this will serve as a pilot project for an emission-free construction site in collaboration with Enova.

The turnkey contract will be registered by NCC in the second quarter of this year in the NCC Building Nordics business segment.
