Swedish construction company NCC has signed a contract worth nearly $45.95m (SEK400m) to build a new office building for pension company PensionDanmark at Marmormolen wharf in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The move comes after NCC was selected as the turnkey contractor for the 13,000m2 construction project.
Construction work on the project is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of this year with completion expected in summer 2023.
The project is designed by PLH Arkitekter and will seek to achieve a minimum sustainability certification of DGNB Gold for the structure.
NCC project manager Ole Møller Petersen said: “The project will be carried out through a highly constructive collaboration between the developer, consultants and NCC. The result will be an office building that maintains a high level of quality in terms of layout, choice of materials, sustainability and indoor climate.”
Located in central Copenhagen in the old free port area, Marmormolen wharf has been recently transformed from an international port into a residential area with supermarkets, offices, restaurants and subway connections.
