Multi-family developer Monday Properties and Glenmont Capital Management have broken ground on The Willow, a new multifamily development, in North Charleston, South Carolina, US.

The company acquired the project site in November last year and also secured $48m from Sandy Spring Bank in construction financing.

Located off Ashley Phosphate Road, the new 338-unit, Class A multifamily community includes six buildings.

The six buildings include a 7,000ft2 clubhouse, a singular four-storey elevator served apartment building with 170 units, along with four three-storey walk up garden apartment buildings with 42 units each.

The units in the community include amenitised studio, one-, two-, as well as three-bedroom layouts.

Additionally, The Willow’s amenities include different co-working spaces, conference spaces, a community room, yoga studio, a lounge and game room, a covered patio overlooking the saltwater pool, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

The new pet-friendly community will also include a half-acre dog park, outdoor fitness area, courtyards, pickleball court, saltwater pool, and grilling cabana.

Slated to be delivered in late first quarter of 2024, The Willow is situated near I-26, along with major employers including Daimler, Boeing, as well as the Charleston International Airport.
