Mill Creek Residential has broken ground on Modera Academical Village, a contemporary mixed-use apartment community in the western Broward County of Florida, US.
To be developed in two phases, the mixed-use apartment community will feature a total of 793 apartment homes and approximately 16,000ft2 of ground-floor retail space.

Mill Creek Residential is developing Modera Academical Village in conjunction with equity partner FCP.
Located just east of S. University Drive and just west of Nova Southeastern University, this project is the residential part of the larger Academical Village Master Plan, which will feature 2.5 million ft2 of retail, residential, hotel, office and medical space.
The first move-ins under the first phase are expected in fall 2024.

Modera Academical Village is being constructed to meet the National Green Building Standard silver certification.
Once complete, the surrounding Academical Village will feature a tree-lined central boulevard that intersects a road circling the NSU campus, a pedestrian bridge linking to the campus and an outdoor plaza with fountains and outdoor seating areas.
Modera Academical Village will provide studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes with den layouts also being available.
Among the community amenities to be provided at the project include an outdoor swimming pool with grilling area, outdoor dining, resident clubhouse, rooftop deck, onsite dog park and pet spa, landscaped courtyards and fitness centre.
Furthermore, the project will provide residents with access to avail coworking spaces and a conference room, a package locker system, community wide Wi-Fi, garage parking, EV-charging stations, dedicated bike storage, etc.
