United Arab Emirates-based developer Sweid & Sweid has selected McLaren Construction as the main contractor for BAY360, a new mixed-use development planned for the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) district in Dubai.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.

BAY360 will be built partly on reclaimed land from Lake D, creating a new community hub with retail, wellness, dining and recreational amenities, plus landscaped outdoor spaces and new waterfront public zones.
With enabling works now complete, main construction begins this month.
According to Sweid & Sweid, the development aims to address underused waterfront areas in JLT by enhancing pedestrian links, providing new public areas and creating more activity along the lake’s edge.
Sweid & Sweid managing partner Maher Sweid said: “JLT has a large community, but much of the waterfront remains underused. BAY360 is our response to that opportunity, creating a destination that brings more life and activity to the lake.”
The project will feature a flagship 22,000ft² Spinneys supermarket as the anchor tenant, supported by a variety of restaurants, cafés and lake-facing outdoor terraces.
Plans also include medical facilities, lifestyle and community retailers, rooftop padel courts and play areas for families.
The site will additionally provide a 300-space underground parking facility for visitors and shoppers.
BAY360 forms part of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre’s (DMCC) wider plans to upgrade communal spaces across JLT.
The development will include a new pedestrian avenue linking the nearby metro station to surrounding areas, as well as lakefront upgrades such as additional greenery, public walkways and seating areas.
The appointment marks the second collaboration between Sweid & Sweid and McLaren Construction.
Their previous partnership delivered 6 Falak, a Grade A office building in Dubai Internet City, which is fully leased and has achieved LEED Gold certification.
McLaren Construction, headquartered in London, has operated in the UAE since 2009 and has delivered several major regional projects, including community malls, data centres and the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Last month, McLaren was appointed as the main contractor for Walworth Corners, a purpose-built student accommodation project located in Elephant & Castle, London.
