UAE-based Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group has entered an agreement with its customer Global Fluorine Chemical Factory (GFCF) to develop phase two of GFCF’s production facility in KEZAD Mussafah.
With this deal, GFCF expects to triple its production capacity.
The company will invest more than Dh1bn in the new facility on an adjacent site, which spans an additional 120,000m², as well as in the 100,000m² that GCFC now occupies at KEZAD Musaffah.
With the official opening of the factory’s second phase, four additional chemical items will be added to GFCF’s product mix.
The development is expected to promote the UAE’s objective of building a circular economy as GFCF’s second phase will allow it to obtain raw materials for its premium refrigerants.
Due to its strategic position, the plant will be able to use the extensive services provided by AD Ports and KEZAD and has convenient access to international consumer markets.
