
Construction firm JR Group has commenced work on 49 new homes for Fife Housing Group in Glen Albyn area, Kirkcaldy, UK.
The project will include two-and three-bedroom affordable homes, comprising single-storey cottages and two-storey houses.
This development will also include the upgrade of children’s play facilities as well as the creation of new footpaths.
The company stated that the project is sensitively designed to meet energy and space heating gold standards. Photovoltaic solar panels will also be installed on each block.
Additionally, bird and bat boxes will be installed for each new building to promote eco-diversity.
Furthermore, an existing wild-flower meadow within the development will also be retained.

It is also working closely with a range of partners including employer’s agent Hardies, architect Oliver & Robb, and engineers Bayne Stevenson Associates for the project.
