Technology company Insta360 has announced a strategic partnership with Cupix, a company specialising in AI-powered 4D as-built platforms. 

The partnership is part of efforts to help digitise construction.  

The alliance is intended to set new standards in the construction industry, driving innovation and providing solutions for the complex projects of today.  

Insta360 integrates 360 cameras into traditional workflows, including the construction industry, while Cupix is said to provide a fast and easy way to create and share a 3D digital twin. 

Through this collaboration, Insta360’s 6K 360 camera, ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition, is now fully integrated and supported within Cupix’s CupixWorks and CupixVista.

The integration of Insta360’s camera within Cupix’s platforms is expected to deliver premium image quality and exceptional low-light performance. 

It is further anticipated to create immersive views, 3D point clouds, and textured meshes of as-built conditions.

Insta360’s ONE RS 1-Inch 360 camera includes features that are designed to improve project documentation and visualisation.  

These include dual 1-inch sensors for sharp 6K 360 video and 21MP photos, HDR capabilities for enhanced image quality in low-light conditions as well as FlowState stabilisation. 

In March 2024, Cupix and Revizto, an integrated collaboration platform, partnered to launch a new integration to enhance construction project management.
