ThedaCare announced that the initial construction work at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah is currently underway.

This forms part of the $100m investment, which will be used to upgrade the hospital campus, and enhance, and expand the services.

The transformation of the hospital campus includes expansion and redesign of the emergency department, which will offer additional care space.

An additional helipad adjacent to the emergency department will be created for rapid transfer of patients.

The Family Birth Center will be renovated to offer more comfortable environment for patients and their families.

Operating rooms will also be upgraded to include advanced robotic surgical equipment and the specialised space will be enhanced to provide care for stroke patients.

As part of the project, a new environment will be created for the Women’s Center that includes diagnostics and imaging, mammography, and bone density testing.

The inpatient space at the hospital will be redesigned to improve and expand access for Behavioral Health services.

Additionally, the Day Treatment programme will also be reintroduced to the hospital.

The initial construction phase of the project includes moving offices and departments to begin work on the ThedaCare modernisation project.

ThedaCare stated that the key diagnostic outpatient services will be located on the first floor of the hospital to ensure easy access for patients.

Slated to begin in spring this year, the next phase of construction will include work on the new Emergency Department.

Furthermore, the complete ThedaCare modernisation project is anticipated to complete in the fall of 2023.
