Homes England, the public body that funds affordable housing in the UK, has selected Vistry Partnerships to build more than 570 homes in the country, under six new developments.

The portfolio valued at £105m, with over 570 homes, will include over 400 affordable homes delivered through the contracts with Registered Provider partners.

The six developments will be across Portsmouth, Dudley, Chesterfield, Birmingham, Bridgwater and Shafton in Yorkshire.

The plans include the construction of 107 mixed-tenure homes, including 50% affordable homes in Portsmouth. In Dudley, 103 mixed-tenure homes will be built, of which 50% will be affordable housing.

In Chesterfield, 151 homes will be built, of which 62% will be affordable housing while in Birmingham, 87 homes each will be built, of which 100% are planned to be affordable housing.

In Bridgewater, 80 homes of which 100% affordable housing will be built. In Yorkshire, 43 homes will be built, of which 100% will be affordable housing

Additionally, the company has secured contracts for affordable housing, totalling £108m to build 810 new affordable homes for Registered Providers in both north and south of England.

The contracts will be delivered by the company’s new businesses, Vistry Partnerships Yorkshire and Drew Smith.

The company also stated that it been working with Homes England to agree on flexible delivery terms to allow the progression of the planning applications and pre-commencement works during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
