UK-based construction contractor Henry Brothers Construction has broken ground on a £22.5m project at Beacon Barracks in Staffordshire, UK.

The business is developing facilities at the UK Ministry of Defence site for Nato’s 280 Signal Squadron.

This property is being developed to ensure that the squadron, which is part of the Nato Response Force, can efficiently relocate from Dorset to its new location at Beacon Barracks.

Its mission, as a Deployable Communication Module, is to build and manage strategic communication and information systems that support a deployed Nato headquarters.

Brothers is constructing a new two-storey building for the squadron at Beacon Barracks, which will feature offices, conference rooms, a welcome area, workshops, a garage, storage rooms, welfare facilities, and mechanical and electrical plant rooms. Solar panels will be constructed on the roof.

Additionally, Brothers will construct a single-storey satellite communications facility as part of the overarching development.
