UK-based construction firm Graham Group has been selected by Audley Group for the construction of its new £80m retirement village in Cobham, UK.

The new village, named Audley Fairmile, will offer 74 luxurious two-bedroom properties based around central facilities housed in the Audley Club.

Located near Esher and Epsom, the Audley Fairmile village will also include a swimming pool, health club, restaurant, and bar bistro.

Graham stated that the amenities will be available to Audley property owners as well as the people from the local area.

Additionally, the property owners will have access to care and wellbeing services from Audley Care that is registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Graham said that the new village is said to be one of four new Audley Villages which are funded through a joint venture with Schroders’ real estate unit and Octopus Real Estate, a specialist healthcare real estate investor.

Audley Group managing director Kevin Shaw said: “The demand for our retirement villages is higher than ever, so we are delighted to be able to work with construction partners like Graham that we know will deliver to Audley’s high standards within the shortest timeframe possible.

“The UK has a real dearth of quality retirement housing provision. We have seen this year the vital role that retirement villages can play in giving older people safe and secure living options and we will continue to accelerate our growth plans to meet the needs of the nation.”

Graham said that the Audley allows the owners to live an independent and healthy lifestyle in their own homes, with flexible care when required.

The property owners purchase the apartment from Audley Group and own them on a 250-year lease agreement.
