GMI Construction Group is set to build a new £30m helicopter logistics hub in Yeovil, Somerset, the UK.

The company was selected by real estate development firm Graftongate to build the helicopter logistics hub on behalf of aerospace company Leonardo.

The project will involve consolidating eight existing warehouses into one all-encompassing hub.

As agreed, the hub will feature various sustainable features including rainwater harvesting tanks for brown water services, full LED lighting, and a heat recovery system in the main warehouse.

It will also have a modern office temperature control system and electrical vehicle charging points bank.

The 210,000ft2 project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of next year.
