G&H Group has been awarded a substantial mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) design-and-build contract by building contractor JJ Rhatigan for the Crown Trading Centre development in Hayes, West London, UK.  

The contract, valued in the eight-figure range, will see G&H Group’s 100-member team deliver an MEP solution for property manager Greystar’s £109m ($136.01m) project, which includes 407 residential units and commercial spaces. 

The Crown Trading Centre, situated along the Grand Union Canal, will feature a mix of build-to-rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership apartments.

The development also includes commercial areas, amenity spaces, as well as car and cycle parking facilities, complemented by landscaped zones.  

G&H Group will implement energy-efficient air-source heat pump technology to meet the heating and hot water requirements of the development.

It will also deploy a 222kWp photovoltaic system, which is expected to generate approximately 199,710kWh annually, across the complex’s six blocks.

As part of the comprehensive services, G&H Group will oversee the installation of domestic water distribution systems, mechanical ventilation, above-ground drainage, and low-voltage distribution.

The contract also encompasses internal and external lighting, access control, fire safety services, and sprinkler systems for both residential and commercial spaces.  

Additionally, smoke control ventilation will be installed in the car parks and residential areas.
