
The Department of Public Works and Highways of the Philippines (DPWH) has begun construction of a new four-lane flyover in Pilar, Bataan.
The sub-structure works are being undertaken for construction of Ala-Uli Steel Flyover in Barangay Ala Uli, Pilar,
This flyover is expected to ease traffic congestion at the intersection of Gov. J.J. Linao National Road and Roman Superhighway.
The project is part of the Mega Bridges for Urban and Rural Development Project (MBURDP).
It includes building and installation of 17.3m wide and 607.750m long flyover, with 80m transition road on both sides.
The 18-month construction project will enhance the transport of goods and local products.

By GlobalDataConstruction of the flyover is being undertaken following a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the DPWH Bridges Management Cluster – Unified Project Management Office (DPWH-BMC-UPMO), DPWH Regional Office 3 with Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office and the Provincial Government of Bataan along with the Municipal Government of Pilar (LGU).
Meanwhile, the DPWH Negros Occidental 2nd District Engineering Office is set to complete the New Magsaysay Bridge along Bacolod South Road in Binalbagan.
The parallel bridge with a pre-stressed concrete girder on a bored pile foundation will enable convenient travel for motorists and commuters.
Once completed, the $1.37m (PHP76.9m) new bridge will provide better access to the southern half of Negros Occidental.
The New Magsaysay Bridge Project begun in April 2021.
