China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has begun building the main structures of five residential skyscrapers in New Alamein City in Egypt, reported Xinhua via GlobalTimes.
The Alamein Downtown Towers Project is considered an important scheme between China and Egypt following the Central Business District (CBD) project.
In February last year, Egypt’s New Urban Communities Authority and CSCEC signed an agreement for the development of the Alamein Downtown Towers Project.
CSCEC Egypt general manager Chang Weicai said, “The Iconic Tower project is one of the most important of all the Alamein projects.”
For the Alamein Downtown Towers Project, CSCEC has hired many local engineers and laborers since the commencement of the project.
The project’s quality control engineer Omar Hassan said: “I’m very fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this project, where I can learn new things every day, and this job has helped to improve the lives of my family.
