Appointing the main contractor marks the start of construction on two new residential towers, as well as office and retail space in Tatu Central, the project’s main business and lifestyle district.

The Jabali Towers development will add two residential towers, 25 and 36 storeys, to the estate, along with a 150-room hotel, 35 retail units, and Grade A office space. The project will span a built-up area of 88,000m².

Tower A is already 75% pre-sold to both Kenyan and international investors interested in mixed-use developments, with apartments starting at Ks9.7m ($74,500).

The development will feature apartments ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, aiming to attract homeowners and investors seeking property within Kenya’s mixed-use Special Economic Zone.

The site will also offer various lifestyle amenities, such as a fitness centre, infinity pool, wellness facilities, co-working spaces, landscaped gardens and public plazas.

CRBC operates globally across Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America. In Kenya, the firm is involved in several large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Talanta Sports City stadium for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Rendeavour founder and CEO Stephen Jennings said: “The commencement of construction at Jabali Towers is a clear demonstration of our commitment to delivering what we promise.

“At Tatu City, quality is non-negotiable and drives every decision we make. We go to great lengths to source partners and suppliers locally and from around the world who share our uncompromising standards of execution.

“The appointment of CRBC reflects that commitment. Jabali Towers is another step in building a city that delivers lasting value for Kenya and for generations to come.”

The project has benefitted from more than 15 years of investment in site infrastructure, including continuous water and electricity supply, high-speed internet and an expanded road network.

Other features include walking and cycling trails, parks, lakes, green spaces and a wildlife sanctuary scheduled to open at the end of 2026.

The Jabali Towers project is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs during its construction and operational phases, contributing to economic opportunities for Kiambu County and the wider region.
