National Highways has appointed the JV of Costain and Mott MacDonald as delivery assurance partners for the A303 Stonehenge (Amesbury to Berwick Down) Improvements Scheme in the UK.
The JV will manage the design and construction of a new dual carriageway and tunnel, replacing the current single carriage road.
Besides boosting connectivity, it will improve the economy and support national growth.
Upon its completion, it will improve the Stonehenge World Heritage site and the natural setting of the stones.
The JV will work closely with supply chain partners, road users and local community in delivering the project.
Costain managing director for transportation Sue Kershaw said: “This award comes as a result of our strategy to bring together the whole range Costain’s capabilities to deliver for our customers and transform the performance of the UK’s infrastructure ecosystem.
