Development company Argent Related has announced the start of construction on £500m regeneration development at Tottenham Hale in North London, UK.

The move follows the signing of contracts by developer Argent Related – two with construction group Galliford Try and one with United Living – as part of the scheme to transform Tottenham Hale.

The masterplan will deliver 1,030 new homes, a primary care health centre, 15 retail units, co-working and office space, a cinema, and two football pitches, located next to Tottenham Hale underground station.

Galliford Try and United Living will deliver a mix of market sale, affordable homes, both council homes for the London Borough of Haringey and Shared Ownership, across three plots, as part of the masterplan.

Under the two contracts, worth £85m together, Galliford is responsible for the delivery of two plots, 1 Ashley Road and 2 Ashley Road, providing 281 homes.

Galliford Try CEO Bill Hocking said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Argent Related, working together to safely deliver much-needed new homes and commercial developments to stimulate and support the economy, during these challenging times.”

United Living has also been selected to deliver 131 council-owned homes arranged over 3 and 16 storeys featuring a communal garden and a health centre.

Argent Related residential head Tom Goodall said: “This marks a significant step forward for the project, creating a new centre for Tottenham Hale and much-needed homes for the area.

“We are committed to delivering to the highest standard and are proud to announce partnerships with both Galliford Try and United Living. During these unprecedented times, we are pleased to be able to support the construction industry and local employment by awarding these significant contracts.”
