Dream Hotel Group has started the construction of the $550m Dream Las Vegas hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

Located at 5051 S Las Vegas Blvd, across the street from Mandalay Bay Resort and Bali Hai Golf Club, the new lifestyle hotel and casino will include 531 guestrooms and suites, a 20,000ft² casino and gaming floor, along with 12,000ft² of meeting and event space.

Slated to open in late 2024, the 20-storey luxury hotel is being developed in partnership with real estate firms, Shopoff Realty Investments and Contour.

The design for the hotel has been provided by Nebraska-based architecture firm DLR Group, while AvroKo, Rockwell Group and DLR Interiors will provide the design for the interiors.

McCarthy Building Companies has been appointed as the design-builder contractor for the project.

The hotel’s contemporary design will include glass and metal façade, oversized windows, spacious double-height terraces, and radiused corners, and an ‘aerodynamic character influenced by its context’.

Its design will feature a varied combination of dramatic venues spread vertically across the roof decks and terraces.

The hotel will have seven dining and nightlife venues, including two bar and lounge concepts on the gaming floor; resort pool and day club on the third floor; a lobby bar, craft coffee café and gelateria on the street level; a boutique nightclub, sporting club, signature restaurant and 24-hour diner on the third floor.

It offers a fitness centre by Technogym, a 5,000ft² ballroom, a 90-seat live entertainment theatre, a gaming floor and 825 dedicated on-site parking spaces.

Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein said: “Together with innovative developers Shopoff and Contour, it is our goal to create an experience-driven property that surpasses expectations, blending forward-thinking design, progressive programming and world-class hospitality with unmatched dining and nightlife.

“We are not just building another hotel, we are building an experience, and one that we hope will contribute substantially to the future of Las Vegas.”

Peninsula Pacific Entertainment (P2E) will lead the casino and gaming operations at the hotel.

The project is expected to create 4,000 new direct and indirect jobs during the construction phase.
