American metal supplier Central States Manufacturing has commenced construction on its new facility in Springdale, Arkansas, US.

This new 105,000ft² facility will support the company’s growth trajectory and its new pre-engineered metal frame business.

The company says it currently has 11 manufacturing facilities, two factories under construction, more than 1,300 employee-owners, and a clientele of over 6,000.

Central States Manufacturing CEO Jim Sliker said: “This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering top-quality products and services to our customers.

“Further, we are announcing our newly rebranded Central States Building Works business, which serves customers across the country with material-only packages for mini-storage and rigid metal building business.”

The new factory is set to result in more than $24m in long-term economic investment in the community.

In 2025, the warehouse will recruit 55 additional employee-owners and intends to grow to 140 people when it establishes a second shift.

Springdale mayor Doug Sprouse said: “This project is a good example of Springdale’s commitment to job growth and minimising unnecessary barriers to business expansion.

“The city’s major road widening project to the south should further strengthen Central States Manufacturing’s growth potential as it serves the region’s construction needs.”
