Cayan Group, a real estate investment and development company, has announced a partnership with NEOM for a second Hampton by Hilton hotel in Saudi Arabia.

Encompassing 26,500km², NEOM is a gigaproject being built on the Red Sea in the north-west part of the country.

A signing ceremony for the deal took place during the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin, Germany.

It was attended by Hilton president and CEO Chris Nassetta and Cayan chair Ahmed Alhatti.

The agreement outlines that Cayan will fully fund and develop the 201-home Hampton by Hilton hotel, catering to the increasing demand for construction in the region.

Hilton Middle East & Africa Development vice-president Carlos Khneisser said: “We’re delighted to be working again with Cayan Group to add another great Hampton by Hilton to our growing portfolio in Saudi Arabia.

“This signing asserts Hilton’s longstanding commitment to the growth of the tourism sector in the kingdom, where we are working with both public and private-sector partners to respond to the rising demand for hospitality brands and expect to quadruple our presence in the coming years.”

With construction anticipated to commence shortly, the Hilton-managed hotel is set to open at the beginning of 2025.

This project marks the second hotel at NEOM to be entirely financed by the private sector. In March this year, Cayan and Hilton opened the first Hampton by Hilton hotel in Saudi Arabia.

The hotel’s design will focus on sustainability, incorporating flexible construction methods and energy-efficient systems.

This approach aligns with NEOM’s vision of a new model for sustainable living.

Alhatti said: “Further to the recent opening of Hampton by Hilton Sharma at NEOM’s Community site, we are excited to continue with our participation of being part of this visionary and unique project alongside Hilton, our globally recognised hospitality partner.”
