Glen-Gery’s parent company Philadelphia – Brickworks has announced the opening of its first North American Design Studio for Philadelphia’s architectural community.

Brickworks’ seventh design studio adds to the six that are located throughout Australia.

Built at 1319 Walnut Street, the 3,500ft² Philadelphia Design Studio occupies the first floor of the Witherspoon building.

The retail space is inspired by Philadelphia’s old-world charm and features the authentic handmade brick and Cushwa premium wood molded brick that are synonymous with the city.

Design Studio Manager Gia Scassera will lead the store’s team of qualified staff. Scassera and her team will provide expert consultation to the architects and consumers embarking on new building or renovation projects.

At Design Studio, Brickworks will also host regular educational events and informative presentations.

Through the modern studio, the architectural and design community will get a premium design experience where they can collaborate on projects.

They can also select from a product portfolio of high-end, stylish bricks, and host or attend industry and networking events.

Brickworks North America president Mark Ellenor: “We’re incredibly thrilled to debut our first North American Brickworks Design Studio in Philadelphia to meet the contemporary style needs of today’s architects and designers.

“An increasing number of design-focused professionals are choosing brick because of its limitless creative potential. Available in a variety of colours, textures, sizes, and shapes, brick is a multi-dimensional building material that can add history and personality to any project.”

Brickworks entered the North American brick market after acquiring Glen-Gery in 2018.
