
Construction services provider Bowmer + Kirkland has secured a contract from Ashall Projects for the third phase of Centre Square in Middlesbrough, UK.
Centre Square will offer five Grade A office buildings located at the heart of Middlesbrough that is already undergoing a huge transformation.
In addition to office building, the scheme will include public space along with leisure, business, and retail outlets.
The third phase of the project will be a 40,000ft2 Grade A office space, which is set over four floors.
The company stated that the complete Centre Square development will bring many jobs to the city.
Bowmer + Kirkland North East director Ed Besford, said: “We are really honoured to be working again with Ashall’s on the next development at Centre Square following our successful delivery of Centre Square phases 1 and 2. It is great to see the progression of this scheme and the benefits this will undoubtedly have on the local economy.”
Upon completion next year, AXA UK will move its 450 staff in Teesside to the new third office building.
In December last year, Network Space Developments (NSD) awarded a contract to Bowmer + Kirkland for the construction of the £54m Global Centre of Excellence in St Helens, UK.
Remediation and preparatory works at the project site will be completed shortly.
Work on the 165,000ft2 glass research and innovation facility, located at Saints Retail Park, is expected to complete in January 2023.
Under a 15-year head lease, the facility has already been pre let to St Helens Borough Council. It will be sublet to Glass Futures.
