South West Water (SWW) has selected BAM to deliver parts of its £2.8bn ($3.51bn) investment programme, known as the AMP 8 Engineering Capital Delivery Programme.
The programme aims to enhance major infrastructure and bolster water resilience in response to climate change.

The contract awarded to BAM focuses on wastewater infrastructure improvements in Cornwall, England, UK.
It is expected to benefit 3.5 million people across South West England by reducing pollution and improving water quality.
BAM is part of a wider alliance, called Amplify, which consists of construction partners such as Clancy, Mott McDonald Bentley, Tilbury Douglas, MWH Treatment, and Network Plus Envolve.
This alliance is tasked with executing the investment programme for SWW from 2025 to 2030.

By GlobalDataAmplify has already commenced preparations for projects that will support SWW in diminishing the use of storm overflows, preserving the region’s bathing waters, and enhancing water resilience.

The AMP 8 Engineering Capital Delivery Programme is claimed to serve as a catalyst for economic growth.
Specifically, the initiative is expected to generate approximately 2,000 new jobs, with the construction of new treatment works and reservoirs among the planned investments.
