ZOM Living has awarded a contract to Balfour Beatty to deliver the new $150m Hazel & Azure at National Landing multifamily residential facility in Arlington, Virginia, US.

Under the contract, the company will serve as construction manager at-risk for the new apartment community.

Located at 3030 and 3130 Potomac Avenue, the new 527,000ft2 development will consist of two cohesive mixed-use buildings standing at 14-stories.

It will feature 492 apartment units, an extension of the Potomac Yards Central Park, amenity and retail spaces, and 6,800ft2 of ground-floor retail space.

The new multifamily community will also have a two-level parking garage with 388 spaces.

The ground level of the development is designed to include a mixture of public and private programmes.

The company stated that the project will provide additional housing to meet the increasing demand for housing in the National Landing neighbourhood.

It will also use the latest technology and innovations like OpenSpace and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to capture and catalogue jobsite images throughout the lifespan of Hazel & Azure at National Landing facility.

Construction work on the project is scheduled to commence in the beginning of this year, with delivery planned in Summer 2024.
