Azizi Developments has broken ground on the $1.09bn (AED4bn) Phase IV of Riviera, a master planned French Mediterranean-inspired lifestyle community situated in MBR City.

The Riviera Phase 4, upon completion, will encompass 5,061 units, and feature around 2,606 studios, 1,579 one-bedroom and 876 two-bedroom units.

Additionally, the buildings will comprise fully equipped gyms, two swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and children’s play areas.

These buildings will be surrounded by vast green open spaces and other amenities.

Being developed in four phases, the Riviera waterfront-lifestyle destination is planned for completion by the end of 2022. The first phase is scheduled for opening in summer this year.

Currently, the first phase of the Riviera development is 85% complete while the second phase is more than 70% complete. The third phase is 40% complete.

The Azizi’s Riviera will comprise about 16,000 residential units located amid the business, leisure and retail hubs of the city.

Furthermore, the community will comprise a cycling and jogging path, several water features, and lighting, which will light up all of Riviera during the night.

In addition to offering views of the city’s skyline, the scheme will include an extensive retail boulevard, a canal walk with artisan eateries and boutiques.

It also offers Les Jardins — a lush-green social space.

In a press statement, Azizi Developments said: “Designed to introduce the French-Mediterranean lifestyle to Dubai, which is not merely about architectural art but also about a certain ‘joie de vivre’ — a celebration of life, an exultation of spirit, Riviera represents a new landmark.”
