Arada has awarded two contracts, together valued at $32.12m (AED118m) for Masaar project in UAE.
This megaproject, worth $2.18bn (AED8bn), is located in the Suyoh district of Sharjah.
The two contracts will see the development of infrastructure and landscape for two areas of Masaar.
These include the central precinct around the Masaar Experience Center, and the buffer zone around the edge of community with professional sports facilities.
Sharjah-based contractor Al Marwan General Contracting Company has been given a $20m (AED75m) worth contract for carrying out infrastructure works at the central precinct and the buffer zone.
Sharjah-based Al Qalamoon Garden Designers secured the contract of $11.7m (AED43m) for landscape work in the same areas of Masaar.
The works are expected to be completed by the contractors at end of April before the scheduled opening of Masaar Experience Center in June.
The central precinct will feature a children’s adventure playground, a skate park, an outdoor amphitheatre and Zad, which is a food district of Arada’s sister community Aljada.
This forested precinct will also have a hub for the 13-kilometre cycling network in Masaar. This cycling network will have rental, retail and repair facilities.
The buffer zone is anticipated to be constructed by the end of September. It will have two 6.6 km long professional looped cycling and jogging tracks, besides many trees.
Arada Group CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said,“These two contracts will pave the way for opening Masaar to the public with world-class entertainment and sporting facilities, which comes as part of our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience that adds significant value to both existing and future homeowners.”
Masaar was launched Arada in January 2021.
