UAE-based property development firm Arada has awarded a contract to Dewan Architects + Engineers for the Sendian District, the first phase of the $2.17bn (AED8bn) Masaar community in Sharjah.

Under the terms of the contract, Dewan Architects + Engineers will provide design and supervision services for Sendian District, which involves construction of 431 villas and townhouses.

Homes at the first district range from two-bedroom townhouses to majestic five-bedroom Sendian Park Villas.

Arada stated that all units will have smart home features and will have direct access to parks.

It features 4,000 villa and townhouses set in eight gated communities.

Arada CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said: “This contract marks another step forward in the development of a community that will set a new standard of living, not just in Sharjah but the entire UAE.

“We look forward to working with Dewan on the first phase of Masaar, which has already seen strong investor interest thanks to competitive pricing, an excellent product and the overall resilience of the real estate sector here in Sharjah.”

The company stated that about 90% sales of the homes in Sendian District is now completed with first homes scheduled to be handed over by the end of 2022.
