Akima’s subsidiary Jade Creek Construction has secured a design-build construction contract from US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District. 

The contract, worth $499m, spans a five-year performance period. 

The company will assist in multiple infrastructure modernisation projects for USACE. 

It will focus on constructing facilities and improving US waterways, all aimed at fulfilling the diverse requirements of Baltimore District. 

The awarded contract will encompass design-build and design-bid-build renovations and new construction projects across USACE’s Baltimore District jurisdiction. 

Jade Creek will undertake tasks such as mechanical, electrical, and fire protection services.

It will also be responsible for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) installations, architectural finishes, concrete work, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, and demolition. 

USACE Baltimore District says it delivers projects to protect the country, stimulate economic growth, and reduce disaster risks through waterway management and dam regulation.
