The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.4% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.41% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 85.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s construction industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
CDM Smith posted 559 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 99.64% over the previous month, followed by Black & Veatch with 452 jobs and a 343.14% growth. Honeywell International with 177 IT jobs and Johnson Controls International with 105 jobs, recorded a 31.66% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Deere recorded a decline of 19.39% with 79 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.18%, up by 3.13% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 37.49% share, registered an increase of 18.69% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.8% share, down 8.74% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.52%, recording a month-on-month increase of 4900%.
