The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.45% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.08% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

Top five construction companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 33.27% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s construction industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Black & Veatch posted 265 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a rise of 96.3% over the previous month, followed by Honeywell International with 160 jobs and a 2.44% drop. Deere with 88 IT jobs and Cummins with 87 jobs, recorded a 5.38% decline and a 123.08% growth, respectively, while Komatsu recorded a decline of 1.35% with 73 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.84%, down by 30.71% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.48% share, registered a decline of 69.51% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.27% share, down 12.89% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 7.41%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
