The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.43% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.65% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.

Top five construction companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 27.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s construction industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Mott MacDonald Group posted 21 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Arup Group with 13 jobs and an 18.18% growth. SNC-Lavalin Group with 12 IT jobs and The British Land Co with 12 jobs, recorded a 9.09% growth and a 140% growth, respectively, while Cummins recorded an increase of 83.33% with 11 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.4%, down by 4.1% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.71% share, registered an increase of 25.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.66% share, down 20.83% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 3.23%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
