US-based company Tesla’s IT hiring rose 3.8% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 3.47% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 6.99% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.9% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Tesla IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Tesla, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58.99% in September 2021, and a 19.61% drop over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 22.3% in September 2021, and registered growth of 106.67%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 9.35% in September 2021, a 333.33% rise from August 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Tesla

North America emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 71.22% share, which marked a 3.13% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 15.11%, registering a 16.67% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 13.67% share and a 26.67% rise over August 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 71.22% share in September 2021, a 4.21% growth over August 2021. China featured next with a 12.23% share, up 13.33% over the previous month. Netherlands recorded a 9.35% share, an increase of 1200% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Tesla IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.75%, up by 1.12% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 23.02% share, a growth of 77.78% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.23% share, down 22.73% over August 2021.
